Responsibilities include:
- Design and build high-performing, reliable solutions for high-throughput data systems using a variety of third-party and eBay internal libraries and frameworks
- Work with other product teams across eBay
- Balance strong ownership and teamwork
- Research, innovate, deliver and grow
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master degree in Computer Science or related field
- 5+ years of software development experience
- Solid understanding of the fundamentals
- Committed to working in an agile environment
- Be a strong proponent of and adhere to high quality standards
- Proficiency in Java, with Scala a big plus
- Strong foundation in Data Products and Tools (Hadoop, Spark, Hive, among others)
- Proficiency in different data storages RDBMS and NoSQL
- Proficiency in streaming technologies (Kafka, Flink, Storm)
